Day 01: Arrival in Beijing.
The prelude of your 8 days guided tours of China starts when you meet our professional local guide at Beijing Airport after reclaiming your luggage and clearing customs. Your guide will accompany you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own. . No meals, advice freely available

Day 02: Beijing
Today your memorable tour starts! You will meet your group members in the hotel lobby and have a short meeting. Then head to the first stop, Tian'anmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of the authentic Chinese food.

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests. To round out a memorable start to your travel, we will arrange a lively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater.

Day 03: Beijing
The morning itinerary will take you to Badaling to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall and a jade factory. We suggest you wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you need to climb steps to get on the wall. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. To celebrate and commemorate this moment, we specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. In the afternoon, the journey will take you to the Sacred Way. En route to downtown, you will have a chance to see the exterior of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium).

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
The first stop of today's itinerary is the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. Then we will go to a pearl store. After that, we will serve you an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant with delicious food and great atmosphere. In the afternoon, a trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your memorable Beijing trip. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture. Then your guide will see you off at the airport for the flight to Xian. On your arrival in Xian, the local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and transfer you to the downtown area to check in at the hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 05: Xian
The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will start your day's trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Then a pottery making factory is scheduled. At noon, a special home-cooked a la carte lunch will be served to you at a local home. Particularly, you can learn to cook Chinese food from the hostess. It is a good chance for you to learn more about the local people and will be one of the most memorable parts of your trip.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Xian Museum and then the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.

Day 06: Xian - Shanghai
After breakfast, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is a special experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included). Then head for Shaanxi History Museum. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a famous local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will board the flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 07: Shanghai
A day journey will show you the essence of Shanghai. This morning, you will visit one of the four largest museums in our country, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times. After that, explore Yuyuan Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Then a silk store is arranged. Afterwards, a farewell a la carte lunch will be served to you.

In the afternoon, wander in the famous Bund area and Nanjing Road, and then visit an old street in Shanghai. Upon returning to the hotel, our guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

Day 08: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight. Your 8 days China tour package is wane to the close with wonderful memories. We suggest you reserve a taxi at the hotel reception beforehand to avoid having to wait for a taxi outside. The trip to Pudong Airport (PVG) will take about one hour and cost between CNY150 to CNY200. Ensure you have at least 30 minutes' drive if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport (SHA). The cost for the taxi there is about CNY50. Please check carefully from which airport your flight will depart. We wish you a smooth journey home.

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to join our 11 days China tour package! After reclaiming your luggage at Beijing airport, you will be met by your guide outside customs (he or she will be holding a sign with your name on it). You will then be taken to the hotel. Now some free time for you to rest and recover from the plane ride. No meals, advice freely available.

Day 02: Beijing
At 08:30, a tour briefing will be given in the hotel lobby and you will also get the opportunity to meet your traveling companions. Your first stop is Tiananmen Square, from where you can walk to the Forbidden City. Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travelers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a very nice restaurant giving you a taste of authentic Chinese food.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, which was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Gods of Heaven. In the evening you will be entertained by a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing
Please have a big breakfast at the hotel and prepare some snacks for lunch because today you will be climbing the most splendid and best preserved Badaling section of the Great Wall, where the tourist restaurants mostly sell low quality food which can't meet our standard, so lunch will be arranged on your own today. At the Great Wall area, there are many peddlers selling souvenirs, we suggest you keep away from those people and do not respond to them if you have no interest in their goods, otherwise they may persist to talk to you. Then a jade factory is arranged.

After that, you will visit the Sacred Way in the afternoon. On the way to the downtown area, you will also get to see the magnificent Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at close quarters.

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
Before heading for the next city, you will get the opportunity to visit the elegant Summer Palace - the largest imperial garden in China, a pearl store and then enjoy a classic Hutong tour which allows you to experience the essence of Beijing and its old culture. An abundant a la carte lunch is served at an elegant local restaurant.

An afternoon flight will take you to the ancient city of Xian. Upon arrival, you will be driven to the hotel. Our guide will help you with the check-in procedure and introduce the hotel layout to you so that you will have a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Day 05: Xian
Today you will be driven to the suburb area to marvel at the powerful Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and a pottery-making factory. You will enjoy a home cooked a la carte lunch with a local family that you will visit. You can also learn to cook Chinese dish with the host for free of charge. Highly recommended by our former clients, it is a good opportunity for you to experience close contact with the local people and dine with them in the family environment.

After lunch, continue your exploration to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xian Museum. Tonight, you will be invited to a traditional dumpling dinner and a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.

Day 06: Xian
In the morning there will be a scheduled visit to the ancient City Wall. Then visit Shaanxi History Museum, known as 'the pearl of Xian, the treasury of China'. Around noon, we will serve you an a la carte lunch at a well-known restaurant.

Thereafter, you will be taken to the Great Mosque, a nice place of serenity amid the bustling city. Surrounding the mosque is a lively Muslim bazaar, which is a good place to pick up souvenirs or gifts and taste local snacks.

Day 07: Xian - Guilin
A morning flight will take you to Guilin where you will meet your local guide at Guilin airport. A driver will then take you to the hotel. After checking in and a short rest, you will have a half day sightseeing trip to the Reed Flute Cave and a sea water pearl store.

Day 08: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
Enduring memories are created as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Li River is the essence of landscape in this area, especially the section from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is reputed as 'A Hundred Miles Gallery'. In Yangshuo, you will be driven to the nearby countryside to soak up the amazing scenery. Along the way, you will pay a visit to a local family, where you will see many scenes that can only be experienced in some old Chinese movies. Then you will be driven back to Guilin to have a brief visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill.

Day 09: Guilin - Shanghai
This morning we will transfer you to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai, the last stop of your 11 days guided tour of China. Upon arrival you will find your local guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area of the airport to take you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is left free for you. If you are interested, we suggest you take a visit to Shanghai's shining star - Xin Tian Di area. It is a wonderful place for shopping, entertainment and dining.

Day 10: Shanghai
Today's trip will start at Shanghai Museum which specializes in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies and paintings. Later, take a trip to the classical Yuyuan Garden and a silk shop. After that, enjoy a farewell a la carte lunch of authentic Shanghai cuisine. In the afternoon visit the Bund, famous Nanjing Road and an ancient street to compare the old and modern metropolis of Shanghai. Our guide and driver will take you back to the hotel and say goodbye to you.

Day 11: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast, you may check out the hotel and arrange the transfer to the airport by yourself. Please make sure from which airport your flight will depart before you leave as there are two airports in Shanghai, one is Pudong International Airport and the other is Hongqiao Airport. We kindly suggest you reserve a taxi with the hotel bell desk beforehand to save time.
